Online couples therapy
Most couples arrive after months of having the same argument in different words. It's not that you've stopped caring: you're stuck in a way of talking to each other that no longer works.
I don't decide for you. I help you decide with less noise.
When it can help
- The same argument on repeat, never resolved
- You've drifted apart and feel more like flatmates
- Trust has broken and you don't know where to start
- You can't agree on something fundamental: living together, children, the future
- You're thinking about separating and don't want to do it badly
How we work
Sessions are joint and last 60 minutes. Early on we look for the pattern: what happens just before each row, what each of you needs in that moment, and what you're trying to say underneath the blame.
I'm not here to take sides. I'm here so you can hear each other without the conversation falling apart, and so you leave with concrete ways of talking about the hard things.
Tell me briefly what's going on and I'll suggest an appointment.
Frequently asked questions
- Do we need to join from the same place?
- Better together in front of one camera, because part of my job is seeing how you talk to each other. If that's not possible, we adapt.
- What if one of us is unsure?
- Happens all the time. You can still start: the first session is also there to decide whether you want to carry on.
- Can it help if what we want is to separate well?
- Yes. Separating with as little damage as possible, especially with children involved, is as valid a reason as any.
